Welcome to Safari Kid!
At Safari Kid, we believe childhood should be celebrated! Our proprietary preschool curriculum takes inspiration from a mix of both traditional methods (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf) and reflects current brain research on early childhood development. This has resulted in a focus on the whole child, in which we offer the perfect balance of learning and play. Our daycare and preschool programs are carefully developed to ignite curiosity and encourage lifelong learning, but it doesn’t end there! We also offer a well-rounded after-school program for children in kindergarten through 8th grade, which provides a combination of valuable academic support and engaging extra-curricular enrichment.

Our Programs
After a tough day at work, Safari Kid parents feel comforted knowing their child has not only successfully completed their homework but also enjoyed learning something new! Safari Kid offers a comprehensive After School Program. We offer structured learning and tutoring coupled with a diverse choice of extracurricular activities. Our Safari Kid After School Program offers daily help with schoolwork but also provides supplemental mathematics and English Language Arts lessons that align directly with Common Core Standards. While academic learning is our primary goal, we also ignite interest beyond the core subjects through exciting enrichment activities that promote a love for new learning. Depending on demand, centers offer such enrichment classes as creative writing, public speaking, chess, robotics, visual arts, and performing arts. Students participating in Safari Kid’s After School Program consistently test above grade level, and many earn awards for academic achievement. We’re so proud of our Safari Kids and excited to be a part of their amazing growth!

Children bring out the child in me. Playing and learning along with my students gives me great joy. I have been an educator, as long as I can remember. I have over 25 years of experience in teaching in various fields. I have been teaching, and assisting with Safari Kid since 2004. I forayed into franchisee ownership in Santa Clara since 2014. I enjoy the arts, dancing and singing with the children. I also administer the program and I am grateful for my wonderful staff. I am also a yoga teacher. You will hear many a ‘Breathe in, Breathe out’ resounding from my facility. I inculcate spirituality in all dimensions of my work. It serves as a beacon in the role that I play in life. I have two Master degrees, one in Curriculum, Instruction and Media Technology from Indiana State University.The other in business. I have worked in the income tax department for the Government of India and had a short stint with Oracle as technical support in the bay area. I am a perennial student. At present, I am studying French and Korean. I volunteer with a non profit Art of Living Foundation. I am proud to have been a mentor and guide to the hundreds of children who have walked into my school and my life.

Having been in the childcare industry for over 20 years I have a tremendous passion toward teaching preschool and high school. Teaching has been sheer joy and gives me the impetus to wake up in the morning. My hobbies are dancing, singing, reading, hiking, and cooking. I also play the ‘Veena’, a traditional Indian musical string instrument. My stint as a Director and in an administrative capacity has strengthened my leadership skills and given me a wider perspective in life. I believe in giving back to the community. I do volunteer work with many non profit organizations namely in educational, and religious organizations. I am actively involved in cultural organizations like SiliconAndhra. I volunteer with ManaBadi in administrative and teaching.
I have been with Safari Kid since 2015. I enjoy being a part of an esteemed organization like Safari Kid where I continue to pursue my passion in teaching and administration.

Hello! My name is Ms. Sumi, and I am a teacher for young children. I have been teaching for over 5 years now and absolutely love working with kids. It has always been my goal to make learning fun, engaging and memorable for the students in my classroom. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to ensure that all of the children in my class are able to reach their full potential while having an enjoyable experience at school. I strive to create an environment where each child feels safe and respected so they can learn without fear or hesitation. Through positive reinforcement and encouragement, I hope to inspire every student in my care to achieve greatness both inside and outside of the classroom.

Hi! My name is Ms Vaishali. I am a preschool Teacher’s aide. I love being with children. My topics of interest are music and movement. I love doing arts and crafts with the children. I find working with children brings out the creativity in me, which I enjoy.I love reading to the children and sharing stories with them. I have been working about 2 years in the childcare field, mostly as a volunteer. I find tremendous joy in teaching. I enjoy teaching the social emotional component of the Safari Kid curriculum where I feel I have learned a lot, along with the students.

Hello ! As the saying goes, one of the greatest sharing is the sharing of knowledge, I consider the sharing of knowledge and teaching the children the most rewarding, and being a fulfilling profession. I have a B.Tech. in computer science. I am a former software developer. Now, I am an After School Program Teacher. I have worked for a couple of years with children. I loved volunteering in a non profit Pre-k program. I love being and working with kids because I feel young kids are like clay, we can shape them into kind and responsible human beings. Few of my hobbies include pencil sketching, acrylic painting, doing arts and crafts and singing. I love sharing this with my students.

Greetings! My name is Ms Deepika. I am an After School Teacher and TK at Safari Kid Santa Clara. I love to work with children. It makes me happier and helps me become a more positive person. I received a Bachelor in Engineering. But I have taught for a few years, including working at the CADD institute. I love listening to music, going on nature hikes, playing tennis and working on puzzles. I believe that sharing the positivity I feel with the children makes the world a little better.

I love the hands-on learning approach and I feel project-based learning imparts valuable learning. I feel fully satisfied when working with children. I am a TK at Safari Kid. I bring creativity and passion in teaching.I am also multilingual and speak many languages. Some of my hobbies are arts and craft, reading, playing with kids, cooking, meditation and yoga.
