Safari Kid of San Mateo, CA

We’ve actually sent our daughter to other daycare/schools before, but I have to say that Safari Kids is by far the best! There are several reasons for my high praise: Firstly, their curriculum is exceptional and they constantly update and improve it. Although I don’t know their specific teaching method, it is undeniably effective as my daughter quickly picks up new words at school. Secondly, the teachers are incredibly responsible. Whenever my daughter faces any difficulties, they promptly react and find solutions. I have complete trust in them. Thirdly, all the teachers are extremely kind and caring towards the children. Even though my kid is not yet three, she keeps telling me how much she likes her teacher! Lastly, potty training was effortlessly achieved with the help of the school. It only took us one week to successfully train her. I highly recommend Safari Kids!

My son has been with Safari kids for 2 years. I am very happy with the quality care and education he is receiving! My son attended a preschool for 6 month before he joined here and we all find Safari Kids a much better place for him. The teachers are so caring, loving and responsible. My son really like his teachers. The daily activities keep a great balance between learning and playing (both indoor and outdoor). The curriculum covers a lot including English, math, science (and experiments!), social emotional, music and art. The teachers definitely now how to teach young kids as my son has learned a ton. Ms. Shelly does a great job creating a caring and responsible culture. She is also great communicating with parents about children’s development and school events. We find Safari kids a very cohesive community! I highly recommend!

My son started at Safari kid when he was 18 months, he is 3 years old now. The teachers and staff are so loving and caring. I am nothing but grateful for the patience and quality care they have provided within this time.
Mondays they have music class which my son absolutely loves he comes home so excited to tell me about all the songs he’s learned. He’s even taught me some Spanish.
The school uses procare to connect and update on daily activities and are consistent with posting pictures throughout the day.

There are so many choices for daycare services in the San Mateo area, but both me and my daughter LOVE Safari Kid. The teachers take a genuine interest in her learning, participation, comfort and growth and they have a great modern safe facility to play in.

As a parent, I never worry about safety, cleanliness, or the attention to detail at Safari Kid. Ms. Susanna, Ms. Lupita, and Ms. Shelly make it easy for me to trust their care and are always on top of it!

Safari Kid has been a bright spot for us during the pandemic. My toddler daughter absolutely thrived here, made friends and learned an incredible amount of words and life concepts like sharing and taking turns. She would come home and shock us by singing in full verses! In a time of shutdowns and little social interaction, we were happy to send our daughter to such a nurturing and well run place. I can’t thank Ms Shanu and the whole staff enough for everything they did for our family. They really cared about each child and their development as individuals, and worked with us to find solutions together. We felt very safe with all the precautions they took and they were very responsive. The internal parent app and digital sign in/out process was also a huge plus for me personally.

Safari Kids made us feel at home and my son enjoyed every bit of it. All the management staff and teachers were always very warm and friendly and cared a lot about progress of each and every child. The curriculum was fun and challenging at the same time and presented a great learning experience for the kids.
The teachers always made sure the kids feel at home and provide a nurturing enviornment. It was always great to see the daily photos and updates, the different themes throughout the week STEM etc and celebration of all the festivites from different cultures helps in wholistic growth of the kids. They also have very strict procedures for COVID so I feel comfortable sending our son there.

Both my children attended Safari Kid San Mateo since the age of 3,5 years and 2 y.o.!
My son is in the preschool and my daughter just graduated Pre-K class . They both love school and have learned a crazy amount in their time they have been at Safari Kids San Mateo.
The school is new with a fantastic setup, excellent teachers and staff and great technologies to keep parents informed.
The students are super sharp,because the curriculum is challenging and advanced.They engage in a lot of hands on learning and higher level thinking skill development. The educational environment is positive and everyone seems enthusiastic and happy.Each class works in a focused and dynamic way.
I would highly recommend the school for anyone looking for a preschool.

We feel very lucky our son has Ms. Shelly as his pre-K teacher. She’s nurturing, and also very smart and intentional about the development of each child. She has an integrated approach, blending Montessori techniques, music, art, science, reading and yoga into the class. When I picked him up early the other day, it was impressive to see her lead all the kids in a very calm meditation. Even the energetic boys were happily breathing deeply.

In the 4 months he’s been here, he’s grown so much academically and socially. We definitely recommend the school whole-heartedly.
